General Description
This is a split position and reports to both the Human Resources Generalist and the President. The incumbent coordinates daily activities in the Human Resources function in the areas, onboarding, paid time off administration, payroll administration, HR recordkeeping, employee recognition program, and organizing employee social events. Responsible for providing administrative support for the President.
Principle Responsibilities
- Verify timecards, including attendance points, hours worked, vacation and personal time requests
- Process non-exempt payroll on weekly basis and exempt payroll on twice monthly basis.
- Compute necessary pay adjustments
- Send temporary employee hours to agencies and process associated invoices.
- Assist in the tracking Company attendance programs including vacation, personal time and points system, leaves of absences and those covered under the Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA).
- Assist in company social events and employee recognition programs, such as; monthly social activities, holiday gatherings, service awards and wellness events such as, blood drives, flu shots.
- Fulfills the President’s requests for assistance, as needed.

Qualifications
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters.
- Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Solid deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills. A critical thinker who is able to create and think through processes and project possible results from actions.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience. Human Resources degree preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in a business environment with the ability and aptitude to learn quickly. Human Resources experience preferred.
- SHRM and/or other Human Resources certification preferred.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
- Knowledge of DM Payroll and Attendance on Demand software preferred.
